AusTouch was developed by Touch Football Australia (TFA) in consultation with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). AusTouch involves children in small groups playing a series of skill developing games. Each AusTouch session lasts about an hour.
We also apply the "True Sports" program developed by QLD Sport and Recreation to our AusTouch Kids. In practice, this means that your children are encouraged to be good sports and each night a child from each group is selected to receive a "Good Sport" certificate to reinforce good attitudes or behaviours.
Our Junior AusTouch program varies slightly from the TFA model to allow for the reduced ability of the younger children in our program. This year, because we are hoping to host a fully fledged Junior competition, AusTouch will only be for Under 6's (children aged 4-6).
All AusTouch kids receive a Ball, Bag and Playing Shirt included in their registration. Registration costs $100. Your children are welcome to bring a friend or relative for a night.
The 2011 Juniors and AusTouch programme starts on Friday September 2nd and runs every Friday night until December 2nd.
